The pool area was spotless, lots of room for everyone, too bad the sun does not shine on it until about 10:30am in October and disappears at about 4 pm due to location of main buildings. Room service was good and cleaning early as long as the room was empty by about 9:30,otherwise we waiting until well after lunch. Phone connections were slightly better but as it is part of the room service charge (up again) more dependable service should be available. Once again the pc internet connections was erratic with easy connection in the am but cutting in and out over the day and many times impossible to connect. Clean as usual and a little too firm foam bed with large pillows. Our fifteenth floor room was large, paid the extra $20 for a fridge, great view of the Rio, Stratosphere and mountains. The Orleans does not change, same regular rooms with dirty carpets, same smoke filled casino and poker pit, great service at the check in desk, no improvements to increase the 'no smoking' areas even though only 'one' floor of the twenty is 'smoking'. We love being off the strip and not in the rush. Stayed at the Orleans once again during our 2014 fall trip to Vegas.
